A Bowl Fit for Hopping

Road Trip Yarn Bowl

I enjoy knitting on trips, but my beautiful ceramic yarn bowls don’t.  I always manage to forget they are in my knitting bag and break them.  But no longer!  I turned ten mini-skeins of yarn plus one skein of worsted weight into a flexible, durable yarn bowl that will travel very well.

This pattern is in conjunction with the 2015 Central Kansas Yarn Hop.  Every participant gets 30 yards of yarn at each stop and a pattern for a hexagon to knit or crochet.  The challenge is what to do with the hexagons when you are done making them.  Challenge accepted, Shannon!
